Editing and Deleting Site Visit Photos

There are two parts to photos that appear on maps in Landscape

(1) The photopoint.  This is the geographic point that can hold one or more photos, as well as its own description and label.

(2) Photos. A Site Visit photo can only be contained inside of a photopoint.  More than one photo can be stored inside of a photopoint.

 

In the Browser:

How to delete a photo from within a photopoint:

Click on the photopoint that contains the photo you want to delete. A side panel will open. Click on the checkmark to the upper left of the photo that you want to delete. Click on the trash can. Then click on 'OK'.  You can select multiple photos within the photopoint if necessary.

How to edit a photo caption:

Click on the photopoint. A side panel opens. Click on the thumbnail of the photo you want to edit. The photo information panel opens. You can then update the photo description, taken on date, photographer information, direction, and status.

How to delete a photopoint:

This will delete the point and the photos it contains. 

From within the record you are editing (ie. from within the site visit record you want to remove the photopoint from) click on the layers button. Click on the three dots next to the points layer and select 'edit layer'.  The map toolbar will open. Select the trash can, then select the point you want to delete. When finished, click the thumbs up to save your edits. If you want to delete more than one point, you can select the lasso tool after selecting the trash can and draw an area around the points you want to delete.

You can also merge photopoints by dragging them together.

How to edit a photo caption:

You can only edit photo captions in Landscape Mobile that belong to your active site visit (the site visit you're conducting). Active photopoints are displayed in yellow.

Select the photopoint containing the photo you'd like to edit. Then select the photo thumbnail. Click on the 'edit' button next to the caption and update the caption. Then select 'OK'. The photo caption is now updated.

How to remove a photo from a photopoint

You can only remove a photo from a photopoint in Landscape Mobile that belongs to your active site visit (the site visit you're conducting). Active photopoints are displayed in yellow.

Select the photopoint that contains the photo you'd like to remove. Then select the photo thumbnail of the photo you'd like to remove. Select 'remove' then click 'OK'.

How to delete a photopoint (and any photos it contains)

You can only delete photopoints in Landscape Mobile that belongs to your active site visit (the site visit you're conducting). Active photopoints are displayed in yellow.

Select the photopoint you'd like to delete, then select 'edit'.  Select 'remove' in the upper right corner, then select 'Yes' to confirm.
